PS4: Remote Play performance issues

What do I do if I'm getting latency, corrupted sound or slow response?

 
 
  1. First, go through the Network connection troubleshooting steps listed above to make sure you are getting the best possible connection to the PlayStation 4 system.
  2. If this doesn't resolve the issue, the resolution and frame rate settings may need to be reduced in the PS4 Remote Play application to improve performance.

To change the resolution and frame rate settings:

PC

  • Select [Settings] > [Video Quality for Remote Play] on the (PS4 Remote Play) start screen.
  • For [Resolution], choose either [Standard (540p)] or [Low (360p)].
  • For [Frame Rate], choose [Standard].

Mac

  • Launch [PS4 Remote Play]. Then choose [PS4 Remote Play] > [Preferences] > [Video Quality for Remote Play] from the menu bar.
  • For [Resolution], choose either [Standard (540p)] or [Low (360p)].
  • For [Frame Rate], choose [Standard].
