How to fix WV-33898-1

There was a problem connecting to the server.

  1. If this error happens while using the web browser, check that the URL you've entered is correct.
  2. Check the PlayStation™Network status page for any server issues.
  3. If possible, try connecting to the internet using a wired connection.
  4. Turn off and unplug your console.
  5. Turn off your router / modem, wait at least 5 minutes, then restart your router / modem.
  6. Plug your console back in and restart it.
  7. Try changing your DNS settings. Set up a new internet connection and select DNS Settings (Manual), then add the address for a public DNS.
