Learn how to make space on your PS5™ console storage, store games on USB extended storage and move game saved data using PlayStation®Plus cloud storage.
To check how much free storage space you have in PS5 console storage, go to Settings > Storage.
Game and saved data, as well as other data, is stored on the built-in storage on your PS5 console. If you don't have room on your console storage, you can either delete data that's already there or move data to one of the following storage spaces:

*1 To play PS5 games, you need to copy game data from your USB extended storage drive back to your PS5 console storage using the options menu.
*2 You can only copy data to a USB drive. Data can't be copied from the USB drive to your console storage.
If you don't want to delete the existing games in your PS5 console storage, you can move them to USB extended storage.
Don't worry, you won't lose access to any deleted games or applications — you can re-download your purchases from your game library whenever you like.
Go to Settings > Storage > Games and Apps.
Select the data you want to get rid of and select Delete.
You can also manage PS5 console storage if you link your PS5 console to PlayStation App on your iOS or Android device.
When you're a Playstation Plus member, you can upload your saved data to cloud storage.
