If the message was displayed when attempting to load a PS3 game disc:
Eject the disc and re-insert it, ensuring that it is clean and free from dirt, marks or scratches.
If the problem persists, attempt to load a different disc. If the second disc loads without error, the first disc may be damaged and may need to be replaced.
If the message was displayed when the PS3 system was attempting to read save data:
Delete the save data and attempt to save again.
If the message was displayed when the PS3 system was attempting to read trophy data:

If the message was displayed when attempting to sign in to PlayStation Network:
Visit eu.playstation.com to find out if PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintenance. If PlayStation Network is not available, please attempt to connect at a later time.
