The Sony Pictures Core app allows you to stream selected Sony Pictures Entertainment movies and TV shows on PlayStation® 4 and PlayStation® 5 consoles. Download the app to get started.

How to sign in to Sony Pictures Core on your PS5 console.

  1. Select TV & Video from your media home and select the Sony Pictures Core app.
  2. Sign in with your sign-in ID email address or register.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  1. From the content area of your home screen, navigate to TV & Video and select the Sony Pictures Core app.
    You must be signed in to PlayStation Network to access TV & Video
  2. Enter your sign-in ID email address.
  3. Scan the QR code to sign in. 

How to make Sony Pictures Core app purchases on PS5 consoles

  1. Select TV & Video from your media home.
  2. Select Sony Pictures Core
  3. Select the content you want to watch and select Add to Library to purchase or rent it. 
  4. Go to my My Library to view previously purchased content.

How to watch content on Sony Pictures Core 

  1. Open the Sony Pictures Core app on your console.
  2. Navigate to the content you want to watch from the home screen or use the search option.
  • Video content is available to purchase and rent. 
  • PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers have access to the "Included with PlayStation Plus" library.
  • You need internet access to stream video content.

Who can access the app?
The app is available to PlayStation Plus subscribers and non-PlayStation Plus subscribers over the age of 18.

Are there any caps on viewing the content?
Purchased content can be viewed multiple times.
Rented content can be viewed multiple times during the 48 hours after the start of the rental period.

Are there any streaming limits on accounts?
You can have up to 4 concurrent streams/views per account.

What are the streaming speeds?
Video quality is adjusted based on your internet connection speed and the device in use. Streaming playback at 24 Mbps is the highest quality.
