How to change audio settings for your PULSE Elite wireless headset

Adjust equalizer, sidetone volume, 3D audio, and more to make your wireless headset sound just the way you want. You can change audio settings for your headset through only your PlayStation®5 console.

  • Equalizer and sidetone volume settings are stored on your headset once you configure them through your PS5® console. If you connect your headset to other devices, it’ll keep the same settings. 

How to adjust PlayStation Link volume on your PULSE Elite wireless headset

Use the volume button on the right side of your headset to raise or lower the PlayStation Link™ volume.

Use the tactile dot on the “+” side of the volume button to help you adjust the volume without taking off your headset.

You can also adjust the volume from your PS5 console through the Sound controls in the control center

  • The volume button controls only the PS Link audio from your console or PC/Mac. When your headset is connected to a Bluetooth device, you need to control the volume from your mobile device. When you listen to two audio sources at the same time from both PS Link and Bluetooth devices, the volume button controls only the PS Link audio.

How to use the microphone of your PULSE Elite wireless headset

Your PULSE Elite wireless headset has a retractable microphone on the left side. 

  1. Extend the microphone for effective use when you’re chatting with other players. 
  2. Retract the microphone to protect it when you store your headset.


You can also press the mute button on your microphone to mute or unmute. 

  • When the mute indicator is lit, the mic is muted. Other players can’t hear you. 
  • When the mute indicator is unlit, the mic is on. Other players can hear you. 
  • You can also mute the mics on your headset by pressing the mute button on your DualSense™ or DualSense Edge™ wireless controller. 
  • You can adjust the mic settings through the Sound controls in the control center

How to access the Sound controls on your PULSE Elite wireless headset

To access the shortcut to Sound controls in the control center, quickly press the PlayStation Link button three times.
