How to use a credit or debit card on web browser or PlayStation App

This article explains how to use a web browser or PlayStation App to add wallet funds with a credit or debit card or add card details with or without making a PlayStation Store purchase.

 
 

Note:

Funds added to your wallet cannot be refunded to your credit or debit card in line with the PlayStation Store Cancellation Policy.

How do I use a credit or debit card to top up my wallet?

If you have a master account you can use any of the credit or debit cards shown above to top up your SEN account wallet and make purchases from PlayStation Store on the following devices:

  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 3
  • PS Vita
  • PS TV
  • PS App
  • web browser

Sub accounts do not have a wallet attached to them so credit or debit cards cannot be used with these types of account.

Your payment details are stored on our secure servers after you use your credit or debit card to make a purchase, so you won't need to enter the information again when you make your next purchase. You can store up to three cards on your account and choose a default or select the card you want to use each time you make a purchase.

Your card can be used to top up your wallet in the following ways:

How do I use my credit or debit card to add wallet funds to make a PlayStation Store purchase?

  1. Go to PlayStation Store.
  2. Choose the products you want to purchase by selecting [Add to Basket], [Rent] or [Buy] on the product detail page and click [Show Basket] > [Proceed to Checkout] when you're finished.
  3. Click [Add Funds] if you do not have enough wallet funds or [Order & Pay] on the 'Confirm Purchase' screen.
  4. If you have enough wallet funds but want to add more click or tap [Your Username] > [Add Wallet Funds] > [Credit Card] and select the amount you want to add.
  5. Enter your Billing Information if it is not already saved on your account and click [Save].
  6. Click [Order and Pay] to complete your purchase

How do I add my card details to my account without adding wallet funds?

You can reach Account Management in a number of ways:

  • PlayStation App

Tap [PlayStation Store] on the home screen and go to [Online ID] > [Account Settings].

  • PlayStation Store

Go to PlayStation Store. Sign in, go to your Online ID at the top of the page and click [Account Settings].

  • Account Management website

Click here and sign in for the account management site.

  1. Select [Add] or [Manage Payment Methods] on the [Wallet] section of the home page or go to the [Account] tab > [Wallet] > [Add Credit Card].
  2. Enter your billing address or tick 'Use My Residential Address' and add your credit or debit card details.
  3. Select 'Save'.
  4. You will see a message confirming that your details have been saved.

How do I update the card details on my account?

You can reach Account Management in a number of ways:

  • PlayStation App

Tap [PlayStation Store] on the home screen and go to [Online ID] > [Account Settings].

  • PlayStation Store

Go to PlayStation Store. Sign in, go to your Online ID at the top of the page and click [Account Settings].

  • Account Management website

Click here and sign in for the account management site.

  1. Select [Manage Payment Methods] on the [Wallet] section of the home page or go to the [Account] tab > [Wallet].
  2. Select 'Delete' to remove billing information or 'Edit' to change it.
  3. You will see a message confirming that your details have been deleted or changed.
