Find out your graphics hardware model and manufacturer.

To identify the graphics hardware manufacturer, use the DirectX Diagnostic tool included with Windows 8 and Windows 10.

  1. Choose Start, type dxdiag in the search text box, and then press Enter. You can find full instructions on where to find the tool here:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Run-DirectX-Diagnostic-Tool.
  2. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, open the Display tab
  3. Note the information in the Name field of the Device section.
  4. Close DirectX Diagnostic tool.

Download and run a driver installer

  1. Open a web browser and go to the website of the manufacture of the computer’s video adapter, or the computer’s manufacturer.
  2. Go to the support section or downloads section to find the latest driver updates.
