How to download streaming apps on your PS5 console

  1. From the media home menu, select All Apps.
  2. Choose the app you want and select Download.
  • A maximum of 14 recently used apps are displayed in your media home. Select App Library to check all available apps.
  1. Go to TV & Video from the content area and scroll down to check the available apps.
  2. Choose the app you want and select Download.
  • If you can’t find TV & Video in the content area, go to Library Applications.
  • Please note, restrictions you've set in parental controls may not apply to content in streaming apps. Check with the streaming service directly for instructions on how to set up age-restricted content.
  • Streaming services available on your PlayStation console may vary according to your country/region.

How to watch videos using streaming services on PS5 consoles

  1. From the media home menu select TV & Video.
    Each streaming service and category displays recommended video content.
  2. Select a streaming service or the content you want to watch. 
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to play videos.

Can’t start a video streaming service on your PS5 console?

  1. Check the PSN status page. If you see any alerts, wait until the service is back online and try again.
  1. Make sure the app is updated to the latest version. 
    Highlight the streaming app, press the options button on your controller, and select Check for Update.

  2. Make sure you're running the latest system software on your PS5® console.
  1. Go to Settings > Network and select Test Internet Connection. If you’re having internet issues, check the guide below for troubleshooting steps.
  1. Press the PS button on your controller to open up the control center. Then select Power > Restart PS5.
  2. Delete the streaming app and download it again.
  1. Restore licenses on your PS5 console.
  1. Turn on your PS5 console in Safe Mode, and select Clear Cache and Rebuild Database.
  1. Check the PSN status page. If you see any alerts, wait until the service is back online and try again.
  1. Make sure the streaming app is updated to the latest version.
