PlayStation®Move motion controller help

Set up the PS Move motion controller and find troubleshooting steps for PS Move motion controller issues.

Pair PlayStation Move motion controller with PS4 console 

  1. Power on your PS4 and set up your PlayStation®Camera.
  2. Connect the PS4 and PlayStation Move motion controller with the USB cable included with the PlayStation Move motion controller.
  3. Press the PS button on the PlayStation Move motion controller. 

Important Notes

Controls and calibration for gameplay will vary from game to game. Follow any on-screen instructions that appear when using your PS Move motion controllers with a PS4 game.

  • The PlayStation Eye camera for the PS3 is not compatible with the PS4.
  • Games that require a camera for use with the motion controller will use the PlayStation Camera for the PS4.
  • PlayStation Move works well in a variety of different lighting conditions, but ideally, you should minimise direct sunlight, glare and the amount of backlighting from behind the player.

Reset PlayStation Move motion controller

Press and hold the reset button on the back with a fine-tipped pen to reset the motion controller.
