Yes, it is accessible for both beginners and experts – no prior knowledge of flight or the other entries in the series is needed to have fun in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The game offers a wealth of tutorials and instruction for the aircraft available and how to navigate the recreation of Earth. 

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 allows players to travel the entire globe in their aircraft of choice in Free Flight and Career modes, as well as set foot outside of the aircraft once landed and explore the environment. 

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is playable with a DualSense® or DualSense Edge™ wireless controller on PS5.

A constant Internet connection and a login to your PlayStation account is needed for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This is in order to stream content of the world while playing. You will not be able to launch the game if you are offline.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will receive PlayStation VR2 support in a free update in 2026.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released for PS5 on December 8, 2025.
