Online Product Registration must be completed within 1 year from the date of purchase with actual purchase date from the original purchase invoice. Each product (i.e. each serial number) is entitled to Extended Warranty Service once only.
Extended Warranty Service shall be started immediately after the end of the original 1-year warranty period.
Service coverage, terms and conditions for Extended Warranty is same as that of the original 1-year warranty.
The Original purchase invoice must be presented upon requesting the Repair Service.

Console sleeve printed “1-Year Extended Warranty Service” is entitled to one year extended warranty service. It doesn’t require product registration again.
Warranty period of one year extended warranty service shall be started when original one year warranty period ends.
Each product (i.e. each serial number) is entitled to a maximum warranty period of 2 years and 90 days (Online Product Registration).
The coverage of this service is same as terms and conditions for original one year warranty (Terms and Conditions for Warranty Service for PlayStation Systems).
The Original purchase invoice must be presented upon requesting the Repair Service.
Regional Warranty Service is entitled to the warranty services for PlayStation 4*, PlayStation VR*, PlayStation 3* and PlayStation Vita* in any Southeast Asia countries where a particular model of product has been officially launched and is licensed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited for sale and purchase.
Applicable models for Regional Warranty services will bear “Regional Warranty Notice” on its packaging.

Products which are for sale in Singapore from 25 September 2018 bearing “Local Warranty Notice” on its packaging is entitled to local warranty service in Singapore only, subject to the Terms and Conditions for Warranty Services for PlayStation systems.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited (“SIEH”) shall, subject
to these Terms and Conditions for Regional Warranty Service, through
its local service agents in the countries where the Regional Warranty
Service applies (“the SIEH Service Agents”), provide warranty to the
Product for any defects in material or workmanship for a period of one
(1) year from the original purchase date of the Product. Any defective
parts of or additional parts (eg. modchips or components not part of the
original Product) found in the Product which are replaced / removed by
the SIEH Service Agents in the course of repairing, if any, shall be the
property of SIEH. Notwithstanding any repairs to the Product carried
out by SIEH Service Agents, its original one (1) year warranty term
shall not be extended on account of the repairs or otherwise.
Repair
service under this Warranty will include the cost of labour, and all
replacement parts required for the proper functioning of the Product.
The original purchase invoice must be presented for verification when any repair service is required.
THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY AND NO REPAIR SERVICE SHALL BE PROVIDED IF THE PRODUCT:
(a)
IS USED WITH THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS NOT SOLD OR LICENSED BY SONY
INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NON-LICENSED
GAME ENHANCEMENT DEVICES, ADAPTORS, POWER SUPPLY SOURCES, COMPUTER
PROGRAM AND COUNTERFEIT OPTICAL DISCS) OR WHICH ARE OTHERWISE NOT
COMPATIBLE WITH THE PRODUCT;
(b) IS USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES
(INCLUDING RENTAL) OR IS MODIFIED OR TAMPERED WITH IN ANY WAY, OR HAS
BEEN REPAIRED BY ANY UNAUTHORIZED PERSON OR ENTITY;
(c) IS
DAMAGED BY ACTS OF GOD, MISUSE, ABUSE, NEGLIGENCE, ACCIDENT, WEAR AND
TEAR, UNREASONABLE USE, OR BY OTHER CAUSES UNRELATED TO DEFECTIVE
MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP;
(d) HAS HAD THE SERIAL NUMBER ALTERED,
DEFACED, TAMPERED WITH OR REMOVED. IT IS PRESUMED THAT THE PRODUCT IS
ALTERED OR TAMPERED WITH IF THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY SEAL ON THE PRODUCT
(NOT APPLICABLE TO PLAYSTATION VITA) IS BROKEN IN ANY WAY OR EXTENT OR
REMOVED;
OR
(e) IS USED IN ANY WAY THAT IS IN BREACH OF ANY SYSTEM SOFTWARE LICENCE AGREEMENT.
This
Warranty is only valid and applicable to official Products and in
countries where the Products have been officially launched and are
licensed by SIEH for sale and purchase, and PROVIDED THAT the packaging
of the Product bears the Regional Warranty Notice.
Though no repair
service is provided if the Product has been modified as provided in
section 4 above, the SIEH Service Agents may at their sole discretion,
provide repair services to the modified Product if the customer signs a
letter prepared by the repair centre setting out the terms and
conditions for repairing the modified Product, and given by the SIEH
Service Agents to the customer upon the Product being taken in for
repair service.
For Product supplied with built-in and/or external
storage media (“the Storage Media”), data saved in the Storage Media is
excluded from this Warranty. With respect to repair service for the
Storage Media provided, it is solely the customer’s responsibility prior
to repair service to backup any data he or she has stored in the
Storage Media. The SIEH Service Agents shall not be responsible for any
damage to or loss of any data stored in the memory sticks or HDD.
Should
the Product require repair service, customer shall be responsible for
and bear the cost of transporting the Product to one of the authorized
Customer Service Centres of the SIEH Service Agents by hand. After the
service is completed, the customer is also responsible for picking it up
from the same location. The addresses and opening hours of the

In fulfilling its warranty obligations
under these Terms and Conditions, the SIEH Service Agents may, in their
sole discretion, elect either to repair and restore the Product to such
original configurations and specifications as designed and manufactured
by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., or to replace the Product with a
refurbished product which is equivalent in all material respects. In
either case, the system software (or the refurbished replacement
product) shall be upgraded to the latest version available. The customer
is not entitled to request the retention or installation of the version
of the system software existing as at prior to the date of the request
for the repair service.
This Warranty cannot be exchanged for a Manufacturer's Limited Warranty (Tourist Warranty).
The
Terms and Conditions for Warranty Service shall be governed by and
construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region, whose Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction
over any disputes arising thereunder.
SIEH reserves the right to
amend the Terms and Conditions for Regional Warranty Service or related
repair services without prior notice.
