How to fix CE-38605-2

An error occurred while downloading the content on your PlayStation®4 console.

  1. Select Notifications from the function screen.

  2. Highlight the notification regarding the download, press the triangle button, and select Delete.

  3. If you’re using extended storage, go to Settings > Devices > USB Storage Devices, choose the storage and select Stop Using This Extended Storage. Then, remove the extended storage device from your PS4® console.

  4. Reinstall the application from your Library.

If this issue keeps happening, try initializing your PS4 console.

  1. Back up the data on your PS4 console.

  1. After completing the backup, go to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4 and follow the on-screen instructions.
