How to set up Spotify on PS5 consoles

  1. Select All Apps from your media home. 
  2. Select Spotify > Download. 
  3. Select Sign up or Log in and enter your details. 
  4. Select Link Accounts.

How to listen to Spotify while playing games on PS5 consoles

You can listen to music while playing compatible PS5 and PS4 games. 

  1. While in your game, press the PS button to go to the control centre and select Music. 
  2. Choose a song or podcast you want to play. Your selection starts playing automatically. The song that is playing appears as a card in the control centre. 
  3. Press the PS button to return to the game you were playing.

(Not available when streaming games)

  1. Press and hold the PS button on your controller to bring up the quick menu. 
  2. Select Music > Spotify. 
  3. Here you can skip songs, play/pause, or adjust the volume.
  • Spotify® Connect
    With the Spotify application installed on your smartphone or other mobile devices, you can use the Spotify Connect feature to link to your console over the same network. This will allow you to operate your console remotely to play music from Spotify. For details, visit the Spotify website.
  • This feature isn't available on PS3 consoles.

How to unlink Spotify from PlayStation Network

Open the Spotify app and select your account from the top right of the screen. Select Log out. Your Spotify account is no longer linked to PlayStation Network.

  1. Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Link with Other Services.
  2. Select Spotify and Unlink Account.
