      Battle royale

Massive maps. 60-player matches. An ever-shrinking Ring. Will your squad win it all? Whether you're in Duos or Trios, the goal is the same: be the last squad left alive. But death isn't always permanent -- keep your squad in the fight with the help of Respawn Beacons.

Why you should play Apex Legends

"Apex is anything but your typical battle royale game, boasting an array of stunning locations and maps, as well as a unique cast of characters - known as Legends - each with their own flair and skillset.

There's no shortage of ways to customise your Legend and weapons either - a regular calendar of in-game events offer limited-time cosmetics and skins to earn in addition to seasonal battle pass rewards.

On the battlefield, customise diverse classes of looted weapons on the fly with a variety of tiered attachments and hop-ups. Give yourself an edge by mastering your Legend abilities and working as a team when dropping in trios or duos.

One thing's for sure - an Apex Legends win is something to shout about."

      Season overview

New Legend, Ballistic, has walked a very long road. The ultimate competitor of the original Thunderdome Games, Ballistic has come out of retirement to teach the young pups some respect - though it’s a lesson few survive unhurt. The wounds of World’s Edge are healing nicely, but its scars - and the new Apex Museum - means that its history won’t be forgotten. Progress through the new Weapon Mastery and showcase your skills. Grow those skills on a newly revamped firing range and unlock an armoury full of rewards with the Arsenal Battle Pass.

      Meet the Legend's Legend

August Montgomery Brinkman was once the greatest competitor in the Thunderdome Games. Under the name Ballistic, he fought with wild bravado. But in the wake of a tragic loss, August retired, retreating into solitude. For 20 years, he remained in hiding. But when his son qualified to join the dangerous Apex Games, August went to the Syndicate with an offer: take me instead. With decades of wisdom, a locking projectile, a hidden third weapon sling and an Ultimate that buffs every weapon wielded by his squad, Ballistic’s arsenal is a force to be reckoned with.

      A healing World's Edge

Time heals all wounds, but a little help can go a long way. Lava levels have risen and cooled, and construction crews have done considerable repairs. With additional Climatizers added, there are new snowbanks, less volcanic smoke, and improved visibility. And while the past is gone, it’s not forgotten. Explore the history of the Apex Games in the new Apex Games Museum in Fragment East - and don’t forget to check out the gift shop!

      Weapon mastery

Want to prove no one wields your favourite gun like you? The new Weapon Mastery system lets you earn weapon XP across all modes. Each weapon starts at level one, and every 20 levels, a new unique challenge is posed. Complete it to earn rewards like badges, trackers and Legendary Weapon Packs to show everyone that you’re a Legend to be envied - and feared.

      Evolved Firing range

Good, better, best. Practice makes perfect in the newly-updated and majorly expanded Firing Range. Start your basic training on Core, or try the Duel Pit, Training Grounds and Agility Course to hone your skills in close quarters, combat and navigation. Experiment with the range’s new buildings, and for the first time, customize the dummies to run, strafe, and give you the fight of your life.
