Find out how to use PlayStation®Plus cloud storage to copy and download saved data, and free up space on your PlayStation®5 console storage.
Cloud storage is storage space on the network that you can use to copy your saved data. Upload saved data for a game on another PS5™ console or PS4™ console, and then download it to your console. Become a PlayStation Plus member to use cloud storage.
You can save up to 100 GB of PS5 saved data and 100 GB of PS4 saved data. The number of PS4 saved data files you can store is limited to 1000.
You can automatically sync your saved data with cloud storage when you close a game or put your console in rest mode.
Cloud storage sync requires automatic updates to be enabled.
For PS5 games, both your console and cloud storage will sync to the most recent data. For PS4™ games, data is automatically uploaded to your cloud storage, but will need to be manually downloaded to PS5 console storage.
For PS5 games, if you select Sync Saved Data > View Sync Status, you can check the sync status for each of your games. Alternatively, you can highlight a game from your games home, press the options button and then select Check Sync Status of Saved Data.
Highlight a game from your games home, press the options button and then select Upload/Download Saved Data. The game's most recent saved data will be uploaded or downloaded.
