How to link your PSN online status to Discord

Find out how to link your PlayStation™Network (PSN) online status to Discord.

Please note, this feature is currently rolling out gradually to Discord users around the world. You will be notified on the Discord app when PSN linking is available (on iOS and Android devices, please ensure your Discord app is updated to the latest version). You can also check availability for the feature by going to User Settings > Connections on the Discord app on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android or the web; if the PlayStation logo is displayed within the integration options, you can connect your accounts. 

How to link your PSN online status to Discord

  1. Open the Discord app on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android or the web.
  2. Go to User Settings > Connections > Add, and select the PlayStation logo.
  3. In the next window, sign in with your PSN sign-in ID and password, and confirm that you want to connect your accounts.
  4. Once connected, from Discord you can choose to toggle display of your online ID on your profile, and to toggle displaying PlayStation Network as your status. Learn more
  • This feature isn't available to child accounts for PlayStation Network.
  • Please note, you need to set your PSN Online Status and Now Playing privacy setting on PSN to Anyone for your online status to be visible on Discord.

Why should I link my PSN online status to Discord?

Linking your account for PlayStation Network to Discord is a great way to share your gaming activity on PlayStation Network with friends. Once you link your account, you'll be able to share the following with Discord users:

  • Your PSN online ID in your Discord profile.
  • The PlayStation games you're playing.
  • How long you've been playing.

How to set your PSN status to appear offline on Discord

If you choose to appear offline on PSN, your PSN online status doesn't show in Discord either. Your hidden games settings also apply to Discord.

How to unlink Discord from PlayStation Network settings 

  1. Go to Account Management.
  2. Go to Other Settings > Account Linking.
  3. Select Discord to unlink your accounts.
  1. Open the Discord app on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android or the web.
  2. Go to User Settings > Connections and select the X button next to the PlayStation logo.
  3. In the new menu, confirm that you would like to proceed with unlinking the accounts by pressing the Disconnect button.

Which PlayStation consoles can I share my gaming activity from on Discord? 
You can share your PSN presence and gaming activity on PS5™ consoles and PS4™ consoles through Discord using the steps above.

Can I set up account linking from my console? 
Account linking for Discord can be set up only on the Discord app on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, or the web. You can't link PSN and Discord using your console.

Which regions are supported?
This feature will be accessible to users where PlayStation Network and Discord services are available.

I changed my PSN online ID, but it hasn't updated on the Discord apps.  How do I fix that?
In most cases, your online ID will automatically update with subsequent gameplay activity on your PlayStation console after changing your online ID.  In some cases, you will need to reconnect your account
