How to fix WS-116522-7

The system software is the update failed.

The latest version of system software is not recognized and the update failed.
Please try the following according to the update method you are using:

  1. To update via the Internet
    ・Restart your PlayStation®5 console, and connect to the Internet using a wired connection as much as possible, and configure the network settings again.

    ・When using a wireless connection, review the installation location bringing your PS5® console closer to your router or removing anything interrupting the connection between the devices.

    ・Turn off your router and modem, and wait at least 5 minutes, then restart it.
  2. To update via a USB storage device
    Please download the latest version of the system software.
    Please make sure the file name and save location are correct.
  3. To update with a game disc
    Ensure there are no fingerprints, smudges, or scratches.
    If there are any dirt or prints, clean the disc with a soft clean cloth such as glasses cleaning cloth and wipe it from the center to the edges.

    If the above won't work, try other update methods if possible.
