Find out how to make and cancel PlayStation™Store pre-orders, where to find pre-order release dates and how to automatically download a pre-order.
You can pre-order some products on PlayStation Store before they are released — search for the game and select Pre-Order. You will be charged, and the pre-order will appear in your Library and online Games, but will only be available for download after the release date.
If you are excited about an upcoming title, you can pre-order on PlayStation Store and enable automatic updates so that the content will start downloading as soon as it is available.
When you pre-order a game, your wallet or payment method will be charged. If you change your mind before the content is released (or, if the game is released, within 14 days of making the pre-order) and the content hasn't started to download to your PlayStation system, you will be able to cancel the pre-order and receive a refund.
To find the release date of a pre-order, search for its PlayStation Store page. The release date will appear under the title of the game.
Once you have pre-ordered your content, you can check your Download List online or visit your games library to see how many days until the content is released:
PS5 : view game download
Go to Games home > Games > select the pre-order. You will see a countdown underneath the title.
Go to Library > Purchased > Select the pre-order. You will see a countdown underneath the title.
Select the countdown to turn on Auto Download and see the expected download date.
Sign in to PlayStation.com and select My PlayStation > Game Library.
The pre-order will appear near the top of the list with the expected release date.
When you pre-order a game from PlayStation Store your wallet or payment method will be charged.
