Find out how to report inappropriate content and conversations on a PlayStation®5 console, and what steps we take when you send us a report.
Report content or conversations that breach the Community Code of Conduct. If the Code of Conduct has not been broken, but you don't want to interact with a player, you can block them.
Reporting with the intention to harass another player is a breach of the Code of Conduct and may result in a temporary or permanent suspension of your account.
Moderators review reports and decide whether the Code of Conduct has been broken. If it has been, we remove any content and take appropriate action against the player.
Always report the specific piece of content you think breaches the Code of Conduct, such as the offensive message, rather than the player's online ID. When the content has been shared within a game, be sure to use that game's reporting function.
On PS5 consoles, you can report:
Something in a player's profile
Screenshots and videos
Broadcasts and broadcast comments
A Game Base group name, icon or chat message
Something said in a conversation
The voice chat feature does not actively monitor or record your conversations. It is strictly reserved for reporting online abuse or harassment.
Turning off voice data collection does not affect your ability to report or be reported by other players over voice chat. If you allow it, voice data collection helps Sony Interactive Entertainment to improve voice features such as chat transcription and voice input.
