Which console is PS VR2 compatible with?

  • PS VR2 is compatible with PlayStation®5 consoles.
  • PS VR2 is not compatible with PlayStation®4 consoles.

Which games can PS VR2 play on PS5 consoles?

There is no compatibility between PlayStation®VR and PS VR2:

  • PS VR can't play PS VR2 games. 
  • PS VR2 can't play PS VR content.

When you view a game, you see the following icons to indicate what type of VR system it supports.

Games that do support PS VR2 also support certain VR Play Styles:

  • Sitting games can be played while you’re sitting.

  • Standing games can be played while you’re standing.

  • Roomscale games require you to move freely in a larger play area of at least 2m × 2m (6 ft 7 in × 6 ft 7 in).

Can I filter by PS VR and PS VR2 games on PS5 consoles? 

Yes. To filter by VR, go to your Games home and select Game Library. Select the Your Collection tab or the Installed tab, then select Sort and Filter > VR. 

Which controllers are compatible with PS VR2 on PS5 consoles?

  • PlayStation VR2 Sense™ controller is compatible only with PS5 consoles. 
  • PlayStation VR2 Sense™ controller is compatible only with PS VR2 headsets. 
  • Some PS VR2 games support DualSense™ wireless controllers. Check the game's PlayStation Store page to find out whether DualSense controllers are supported or required. 
  • PS VR2 is not compatible with PlayStation Move motion controllers. 
  • PS VR2 is not compatible with PlayStation VR Aim controllers.
