Follow these steps to play disc-based games on your PlayStation®5 console or PlayStation®4 console.

How to install a disc-based game on your PS5 console

Insert your game disc into the disc slot.
The game installs automatically the first time you play it.
You may be asked to select which add-ons to install.
Once installed, select the game from your Games home.
Your game starts.
Keep the disc inserted every time you play the game.

To install add-ons you didn’t select during initial set-up:

Some games have data split between two discs to allow for larger file sizes.

Insert the data disc into the disc slot.

On completion, leave the play disc in your console to play the game.
