Infected

A broad term for humans afflicted by the Cordyceps infection. Infected develop over various stages with different features. Regardless of their stage of infection, they are hostile and will attack uninfected humans and creatures they detect, whether by sound, sight, or echolocation. In earlier stages, host subjects are generally more humanoid and become more inhuman as the infection progresses. If the host body dies, spores are emitted and spread to find new hosts. This means that the infection is transmissible via bites, scratches, or even breathing in spores.
