Chapter 7 Season 4: Override

Activate Overrides. Uncover real-world Lobby Hacks. Enter Cheat Codes across the Island. Race through the Green Hill Zone with Sonic's Power Sneakers and toss a Tetris Rift, with your favourite gaming legends.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is all about gaming legends from past and present. Points of interest have been transformed to pay tribute to arcade levels, and players will unlock gaming themed Outfits through the Battle Pass. Including these, there are new rare items that give solo players and squads the edge over their competitors by warping the world with iconic abilities and weapons. 

Characters unique to Fortnite like K1TTYW1NS, Phantom, Grace Crowne, Geno, Mali, Wrixel and Bastian can be unlocked in this season's Battle Pass. Additionally, owing to the theme of the crossover, players will be able to unlock the Sonic the Hedgehog Outfit and the Tails Sidekick. The Sonic the Hedgehog Outfit can transform between two styles – his default appearance and Super Sonic – when using the "Go Super Sonic" emote.

There are three new points of interest (POIs). These are Stone Sanctum, Reality's Reign, and Green Hill Zone, which is inspired by the level of the same name in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. 

New weapons include: 

  • Mega Buster 
  • 8-Bit Shotgun
  • Midas' Masterpiece

New items include: 

  • Sonic Power Sneakers - allows Spin Dashes when moving on foot and airborne Spin Attacks
  • Tetris Rift - a Rift that triggers a large area-of-effect heal when 4 lines of blocks are cleared 
  • 1-Up Token - grants the player the ability to respawn with their full inventory after elimination by an enemy
  • God Mode Llama - transform into an Unstoppable Wrecking Ball

More items and weapons will be revealed later in the season. 

New gameplay systems include: 

  • Lobby Hacks - enter codes in the Lobby to grant XP and Sprite Dust, along with other bonuses
  • Loot Hacks - customise loot drops by spending Sprite Dust in matches 
  • Cheat Codes - spray painted onto walls, allowing the player to free a Collectible Sprite
  • Match Overrides - interact with Override Consoles to change the rules for the island in this match
  • New Sprites - new variants of the creatures introduced in Season 3
  • New Gizmos - new variants of consumable shortcuts for speedy Sprite extractions
