Request to Watch feature on PlayStation®4
Find out how to send a request to watch your friend's gameplay.
Request to Watch on PS4 consoles
- Select Friends from the function screen.
- Select Now Playing, and then select the Friend whose gameplay you want to view.
- Select Overview > Now Playing > Request to Watch.
When you receive a Request to Watch notification, you can choose to Broadcast to Many People or Share Play with Only One Player.

Broadcast to Many People
Share your gameplay with players using a streaming service. You can also use your PlayStation Camera or a microphone to comment on your gameplay.
Share Play with Only One Player
With Share Play, you can let a friend watch you play your favourite game by sharing your screen, let them take over control of the action and try the game for themselves, or even jump into a local multiplayer coop or versus game.
A PlayStation 4 console and Internet connection are required for each Share Play participant. PlayStation Plus may be required.
Disable Requests to Watch
If you want to disable these requests:
- Go to Settings > Account Management > Privacy Settings > Gaming | Media > Requests to Watch, and select No-one.
