The USB storage device cannot be recognised.

  1. Unplug the connected USB cable and plug it back in. Make sure it is fully inserted.
  2. If you are using a USB hub, remove it and connect the USB storage device directly to your PlayStation®5 console.
  3. Try another USB port.
  4. Check if another USB storage device can be recognised.
  5. If the USB storage device cannot be recognised when a specific application is running, delete the application and reinstall it, then try again.
