This notice (“Notice”) provides information on Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. (“SIE”)’s connected products and related services in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (the “Data Act”).

This Notice should be read together with, and is without prejudice to, our privacy notice available at https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/legal/privacy-policy/. In case of any conflict between this Notice and the privacy notice, the privacy notice shall prevail.

Data generated by the connected product is collected, used and shared to enable SIE to deliver our services and to comply with applicable legal requirements. The data is also accessed and used for our legitimate business purposes, including warranty claim processing, analytics, diagnostics, quality and service improvement, research & development, and product maintenance. We may also aggregate and anonymize the data for further assessment and sharing.

SIE’s connected products generate data reflecting device usage, device status, system logs, and other event logs. Some of the data is generated continuously and in real-time. The types and volume of data generated during the use of the connected products varies, depending on the device, software version, and settings, and is generally natively produced in JSON format. The data may be made available to the user in formats like CSV or TSV.

Data from connected products may be requested at SIE-EU-Data-Act@sony.com. You need an account for PlayStation that is linked to the relevant connected product to complete your data access request and/or to verify a data access request by a third party acting on your behalf.

Please note that some data may contain trade secrets. In such cases, the data may be withheld or you may be required to accept special protective measures before accessing such data.
