PlayStation Store Bulgaria currency change guide

Important information about PlayStation®Store and PlayStation®Plus payments in Bulgaria.

Everything you need to know

From January 1, 2026, the unit of currency in Bulgaria will change from the Lev to the euro.

We’re now working to make the currency changeover on PlayStation®Store. PlayStation Store will support payment methods using euros from January 16, 2026.

What does this mean for me?

PlayStation Store will move to euro on January 16, 2026. You'll be able to make purchases using all available payment methods after this date.

  • From January 1, 2026, to January 14, 2026, you'll only be able to make payments using existing wallet funds or by redeeming PlayStation Gift cards.
  • From January 14, 2026, to January 16, 2026, whilst we complete the final updates, PlayStation Store will be offline and no purchases can be made.
  • The funds in your wallet will be converted to euros on January 16, 2026. These funds will be converted using the official fixed exchange rate (1.95583 BGN to 1 EUR) rounded up to the nearest euro cent. For example, 200,00 BGN in your wallet will be converted to 102.2584 EUR and rounded up to 102.26 EUR. This amount will replace the previous Lev value in the wallet.
  • Existing PlayStation Gift cards in Lev will remain valid. Any vouchers redeemed on or after January 16, 2026 will be converted to euros using the same formula as wallet funds.
  • PlayStation Gift cards in euros can also be redeemed on PlayStation Store in Bulgaria from January 16, 2026.
  • From mid January, you will no longer be able to make purchases from the Bulgarian PlayStation®3 or PlayStation®Vita stores.

Please note, if you’ve previously set a monthly spending limit for a child account, you’ll need to set it up again.

Subscriptions

If your subscription payment date falls between 1 January 2026 until 16 January 2026, you will not be charged at the next payment date for your subscription(s). A free extension will be applied to your subscription(s) from the date it is due to expire. No further action is needed from you.

  • If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, your subscription will be extended for 16 days.
  • For all other subscriptions, we will provide you with a 30-day extension.

At the end of the period(s), your subscription(s) will revert to your usual payment frequency in euros.
