Find out about the compatibility of your PlayStation Portal™ remote player and the audio devices you can use with your PS Portal.

Which console is compatible with PS Portal?

  • PS Portal can connect to PlayStation®5 consoles for Remote Play.
  • PS Portal is not compatible with PlayStation®4 consoles.

Which wired audio devices are compatible with PS Portal?

You can use wired headsets or earbuds compatible with a 3.5mm audio input jack.

Connect them to the headset jack on the bottom of your PS Portal.

Which wireless audio devices are compatible with PS Portal?

You can use any PlayStation Link™-supported audio device.

With PlayStation Link, the audio of your wireless audio device can quickly switch between your PS Portal and your PS5® console.

Can I play media apps on PS Portal?  

Apps found in the PS5 console Media tab are not supported when using Remote Play.

Which accessibility settings on PS5 consoles are compatible with PS Portal?

On PS Portal, accessibility features enabled on your PS5 console can only affect the images and controls that are streamed via Remote Play. They don’t affect the user interface on your PS Portal.

When enabled on your PS5 console, the following accessibility settings are available while using Remote Play on your PS Portal:

  • Text Size
  • Bold Text
  • High Contrast
  • Show Check Mark on Enabled Settings
  • Auto-Scroll Speed
  • Reduce Motion
  • Screen Reader
  • Chat Transcription
  • Haptic Feedback During Console Navigation

Certain accessibility features enabled on your PS5 console are not reflected on images or controls that are streamed to your PS Portal via Remote Play:

  • Zoom 
  • Invert Colours
  • Colour Correction
  • Custom Button Assignments

All accessibility features enabled on your PS5 console are shown on connected HDMI screens (such as your TV or monitor). They are also all reflected on DualSense wireless controllers connected to your PS5 console.
