What credit and debit cards can I use?

If you have a master account you can use any of the credit or debit cards shown above to top up your Sony Entertainment Network account wallet and make purchases from PlayStation Store on the following devices:

  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 3
  • PS Vita
  • PS TV
  • PS App
  • web browser

Sub accounts do not have a wallet attached to them so credit or debit cards cannot be used with these types of account.

How do I use a credit or debit card to top up my wallet?

Your payment details are stored on our secure servers after you use your credit or debit card to make a purchase, so you won't need to enter the information again when you make your next purchase. You can store up to three cards on your account and choose a default or select the card you want to use each time you make a purchase.

Your card can be used to top up your wallet in the following ways:

  • When you are at PlayStation Store checkout
  • By going to [Account Management] > [Add Funds] on your PlayStation system
  • By going to account management via web browser or PS App
  • When payment for a pre-order/subscription is due and auto-funding is switched on

If you would like step by step instructions, select the device you will be using to top up your wallet

How do wallet top ups appear on my card statement?

SEN wallet top ups will be displayed on your statement as payments to any of the following:

  • PlayStation Network
  • PSN
  • Sony Online Services
  • Sony Ent Network

If you are unsure of the reason for a payment like this appearing on your statement you can find out more by checking our unrecognised payments article.

When might my card be automatically charged?

If you purchase a subscription service, like PlayStation Plus, we will switch on 'Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions or Pay for Pre-ordered Content'. This means that the credit or debit card linked to your account will be debited to renew your subscription if you do not have enough wallet funds. We do not switch auto-funding on when you place a pre-order; you will need to either ensure your wallet has sufficient funds when we take the pre-order payment or switch auto-funding on through Account Management. Find out how to manage auto-funding here.

We do not switch auto-funding on when you place a pre-order; you will need to either ensure your wallet has sufficient funds when we debit your wallet for the pre-order payment or switch auto-funding on through Account Management.

You can also remove credit or debit card information at any time. However, please note that removing your card details will not stop your wallet being charged for subscriptions or pre-orders that have not been cancelled if there are enough wallet funds for the payment.
