Why an extra charge might be placed on credit or debit card wallet top ups

This article explains why you might be charged an extra amount on top of your wallet top up.

The data of SEN accounts is administered by Sony Network Entertainment Europe, including account created in the following non-EU countries:

Australia Lebanon Saudi Arabia
Bahrain New Zealand South Africa
Iceland Norway Switzerland
Israel Oman Turkey
India Qatar Ukraine
Kuwait Russian Federation United Arab Emirates

If you live in one of these countries you may pay an extra charge to your card issuer in the following situations:

  • You use your credit or debit card to top up your wallet.
  • You use your PayPal account to top up your wallet but existing PayPal funds do not cover cover the wallet top up (this means your linked credit or debit card will be charged).

If you live in the EU and you still paid a transaction charge or if you think that you should not have had to pay the extra charge, please contact your card issuer in the first instance to find out if they can explain the charge to you.
