PS4: Create and edit events

Events provide you with a quick and easy way to schedule a gaming session with friends, groups, or communities.

What are events?

Events are a quick and easy way to schedule a gaming session with friends, groups, or communities. You can create an event up to 90 days in advance. During that time, gamers you've invited can register for the event, and even choose to auto-join at the events start.

Creating user events

Events can be created from [Events], [Messages], or [Party]. Here are the steps for creating an event through [Events]:

  1. From the Home screen, press Up on the D-Pad, navigate to [Events] and press (X button).
  2. Navigate down to [Create Event] and press (X button).
  1. From this screen you can enter customize your event. Once you're happy with your event, select [Create] and press (X button).
  2. You will see a screen confirming that an invitation will be sent to a group. Press (X button) to send the invite or press (circle button) to create the event without sending the invite.
  1. The event can now be found under My Events:

There is no [Create Event] button on the Party screen. To create an event from a party, press the Options button on the DualShock 4, choose [Create Event], and then press (X button).

Editing and Canceling Events

Once an event is created, you can edit or cancel the event by doing the following:

  1. Go to [Events] and press (X button).
  2. Navigate to [My Events], select the event you wish to edit, and press (X button).
  3. From the Event Details screen, navigate to [Edit] and press (X button).
  4. Here you can choose to [Cancel Event] or [Edit Event]
  • [Cancel Event] removes it from My Events, and any Message Groups, or Communities it was sent to.
  • [Edit Event] brings back the screen where you can change all of the event's details, including inviting additional participants.

If an event has already started [Edit Event] and [Cancel Event] are replaced with [End Event].
