PS Vita Remote Play Error E-00000000

I'm not sure if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I've just discovered a problem with remote play. When trying to access Shadow of the Colossus and Ico via remote play, I always get the following message:
 
"The connection was terminated from the PS3 system. Error E-00000000"
 
At this point my PS3 freezes and has to be reset. Both my PS3 and Vita have got all of the latest updates, and I've installed the remote play updates for Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. I've tried connecting through the internet and private network, but it doesn't make any difference. Oddly enough, PS1 games, music, etc, all work fine on remote play. Any ideas why this isn't working, or have I just got a dud Vita/PS3 that simply doesn't like the Colossus/Ico remote play?

Okay, in case anyone else out there has this problem too, here's a solution I've found that might be worth trying:
 
1) Boot up your PS3.
2) Go to settings.
3) Scroll down to display settings.
4) Select video output settings.
5) Select the cable you are using (mine is HDMI).
6) Choose automatic settings.
7) Save the new settings.
8) Shut down the PS3 (assuming you've already configured it for remote play).
9) Start up your Vita and open remote play.
10) Boom! Shadow of the Colossus/Ico remote play will now work on your Vita (well, at least they did for me)! Enjoy!
