What is Rainbow Six Siege?

Engage in explosive 5v5 FPS action, featuring a huge roster of specialized operators, each with game-changing gadgets.

Enter the highly specialised world of tactical armed response in an ever-expanding, multiplayer-focused FPS from developer Ubisoft Montreal.

Building on the success of their long-running tactical shooter series, Rainbow Six Siege radically advances the combat dynamics with hugely destructible environments and an ever-growing roster of Operators from across the globe, each with unique weapons, gadgets and abilities.

Test your nerve across three distinct game modes and more than 20 large-scale maps, each themed after different locations, countries and scenarios, refining your playstyle with your favourite Operators and unlocking new cosmetics to make them your own.

Rainbow Six Siege key features

Take on the world with intense 5-v-5 tactical online multiplayer, join forces to bring down enemy combatants in PvE or hone your skills in offline situational exercises.

Multiplayer FPS

In Rainbow Six Siege, multiplayer experience is at the centre of the game. In teams of five, you'll alternate between attack and defence each round. And even if you are dead you can still help your team through cameras and drones.

Tactics

No bots, no respawn. Adapt your attack and defence strategies to suit different operators and locations. Don't forget you are not alone: teamwork will be the key to victory.

Destruction

Destructible environments mean you can destroy windows, walls, floors and ceilings. Navigate the map and search for entry points or shooting lines.

Operators

For each phase of the game, choose one of the attacking or defending operators, each with their own specific gadget and playstyle.

Latest Rainbow Six Siege Operators

Osa

Born to the Janković family, owners of European toy stores, Anja travelled with her parents constantly, so she never felt stable until she moved in with her aunt in Croatia at the age of 6. She began her schooling there and learned the family trade of toymaking, all the while developing a near obsession for 60s science-fiction films.

She followed her passion for creation and technology and studied electromechanics at a vocational school, and then military engineering at the University of Zagreb where she excelled at robotics engineering. She found herself isolated due to her unorthodox approach and others’ attitudes towards her transition, so she focused on her work. Her unique perspective and raw creative ability set her apart from her peers and got her the attention of Kali, who was in the country looking for recruits. An offer followed, and Janković joined Nighthaven.

The company’s success can be largely credited to Osa’s inventions and her field work. Her efficiency and the versatility of her arsenal have given them an edge in every recorded operation, and by proving herself to be a dedicated and reliable asset she earned the choice position of Nighthaven’s head of R&D.

Thunderbird

Born in the Nakoda Territories of Saskatchewan, Thunderbird’s first lesson from her mother was the importance of community. Her first introduction to engines was at her father’s knee, he taught her to understand helicopters before she learned to fly one.

Always eager for new experiences she enrolled in the Bold Eagle Program at seventeen where she excelled in basic military training. While benefitting from the guidance of community elders and indigenous instructors, this program sparked an interest in preserving and protecting what she loved most, the Nakoda way of life.

After joining the Canadian Armed Forces Thunderbird worked her way through flight school. Remembering her mother’s emphasis on the value of balance, Thunderbird felt since the CAF taught her to take lives, she should also learn how to save them. She completed her Basic Medical Training (CFHSTC) and continued to serve in the CAF as an Aerial Medic.

Santiago "Flores" Lucero

Say hello to Flores, the brand-new addition to team Rainbow from Argentina. Flores is a food-truck owner by day, and most importantly, a master thief by night.

Flores has access to a remote-controlled explosive device: he can deploy this at his feet, and drive it through the map during a limited period. At the end of the timer (or earlier if Flores chooses to), the device will arm itself, become bulletproof, and start a short fuse countdown, at the end of which it detonates in a powerful explosion. He also comes armed with an AR33 and a SR-25.

If you want to make the most out of Flores, you will need to be sly. His ability makes him a powerful support operator to use from the backline. He has excellent area denial and soft breach capacities. But in Rainbow Six Siege, you can never win alone, and it is especially true for Flores. He is vulnerable while he is guiding his drone, so make sure your friends are protecting you.
