SOCOM COMMERCE SERVICES (“SCS”)
TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT AND INDICATE WHETHER OR NOT YOU AGREE TO ITS TERMS BY CLICKING THE "ACCEPT" OR "DECLINE" BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS SCREEN.  IF YOU CLICK THE "DECLINE" BUTTON YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE SCS. CHECK WITH SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT AMERICA INC. (“SCEA”) CONSUMER SERVICES AT 877-971-7669 IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

This Agreement can be accepted only by an adult 18 years or older. By clicking the "ACCEPT" button, you affirm that you are an adult 18 years or older and you are accepting this Agreement.

The SCS gives you the opportunity to use a valid credit card to create a SOCOM 3 verified account with SCEA.  Your credit card will not be charged during the account verification process.  Gamers who create a SOCOM 3 verified account receive benefits such as:  the ability to join or start ranked games, access to ranked briefing rooms, the ability to create or join a clan or friends list, and stat tracking.  It also automatically enrolls you in the PlayStation Underground. 

Please note that you do not have to set up a verified account to play SOCOM 3 on or off line.  Feel free to play and enjoy the on or off line gaming experience without accessing these additional features.  You may choose to set up your verified account at any time.

When you sign up for a verified account, you are automatically enrolled in the PlayStation Underground.  Enrollment in the PlayStation Underground enables you to receive information and updates about PlayStation products, online gaming and other special benefits.  After you sign up for a verified account, you will be sent an email confirming your account.  Soon afterwards, new PlayStation Underground Members will receive a “Welcome” email confirming your Underground membership and giving you the opportunity to opt out of the program. 

If you are already a member of the PlayStation Underground, you will not receive a “Welcome” email.  Keep in mind that the information that you provide during SOCOM account verification will be added to your existing PlayStation Underground profile.  Feel free to access your PlayStation Underground account and preferences athttps://secureus.playstation.com/MyAccount/Profile.aspx..

In order to set up a SCS account you must agree to this Terms of Service Agreement and Privacy Policy.  You will then be asked to provide your name as it appears on your credit card, your credit card type, credit card number, its expiration date, your billing street address and chose a security question and provide an answer.  The credit card information will be transmitted to your credit card company during the account creation process to verify the credit card information, but your card will not be charged. 

All information will be collected and stored by SCEA’s secure servers.  Your credit card number will then be purged from our servers within 90 days of account setup.

Information regarding your SOCOM 3 user ID and password can be saved on a memory card for easy future logins.  As the information contained on the memory card provides direct access to your gaming account without requiring your user ID or password, be sure to keep this card safe and inaccessible to anyone who should not have direct access to your account.  You agree that SCEA has no liability for any unauthorized use of your memory card. 

SCEA at its sole discretion may modify the terms of this Agreement at any time. By accepting this Agreement and by playing the game online, you agree to be bound by all current terms of the Agreement. You are authorized to use the SCS for personal, non-commercial use only on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.

If you violate this Agreement in any manner, SCEA may, at its discretion, and without notice to you temporarily or permanently block your SCS or SOCOM 3 account. In appropriate cases, SCEA may bring legal action against you or cooperate in any government or private legal action or investigation relating to your conduct.  To report violations of this Agreement or to inquire about a blocked account, call SCEA Consumer Services at 1-877-971-7669. SCEA has no liability for any violation of this Agreement by you or by any other player.

This Agreement shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California applying to contracts fully executed and performed within the State of California.  Both parties submit to personal jurisdiction in California and further agree that any dispute arising from or relating to this Agreement shall be brought in a court within San Mateo County, California.

Your use of the SCS is covered under the Warranty and DNAS provisions of the game User Agreement.  Please review the User Agreement in detail.  If you have any questions, contact SCEA Consumer Services at 1-877-971-7669.

We reserve the right to make changes to the SCS Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (“the Policies”). If we make a material change to these Policies, we will notify you by posting the change as you log into SOCOM and in the User Agreement.  If necessary, you will be given additional choices regarding such change. Please check back from time to time to ensure that you are aware of these changes. Your continued use of the SCS will signify your acceptance of these changes.
