Girl Power. That's what you want in your dancing games, and nobody flaunts as much Girl Power as the Spice Girls. Scary, Sporty, Posh, Ginger, and Baby Spice are all here, dancing their funkified booties off. The girls have gone their separate ways, but they will always be the Spice Girls wherever they go, and the memory of their boogie-down rump shakers is left alive in this rhythm game for the PlayStation game system. Done by, of all companies, the acclaimed Psygnosis (apparently taking a break from whipping out WipeOut), the first and only Spice Girls videogame lets players remix pop Spice tracks, choreograph a Spice dance routine, and record an animated Spice video. The song list covers both Spice Girl albums, with five tracks: Wannabe, Move Over, Who Do You Think You Are?, Spice Up Your Life, and Say You'll Be There. Absurd? Sure. Corny? You bet. Dated? Hey, it's a Spice Girl videogame! But few games in your rack will be as much a conversation starter as the glam disc of Spice World, and if that's not worth a spin, then maybe you need cooler friends.
