In this puzzle-platformer you'll play assistant to mad scientist Professor Splattunfuder - a scientist, inventor and weapons manufacturer of questionable sanity.  Nearing the end of his career, he devoted himself to a terrible "recipe book" focused on the death and destruction of his enemies - preferably in as stylish a fashion as possible.  An unfortunate laboratory accident resulted in the destruction of the first draft - now it's down to you to assist him piecing the fragments back together.

The evil doctor has grown vats full of helpless creatures known as Splatts that he is using to aid him in a range of awful experiments - which is where you come in.  Using all your murderous creativity, a generous helping of weaponry, a passing knowledge of physics and a large dose of violence to the poor helpless Splatts, you'll help the Doctor rewrite his classic book of recipes, titled... 101 Ways To Die!

Our story begins in Europe’s darkest corner – The mountainous region of the independent state of BlutenStein. Our protagonist is Dr. Ernst Splatunfuder – A scientist, inventor and weapons manufacturer of noble birth, and several generations of stark raving mad industrialists.

Remember his thought controlled Cockroach? No, neither does anyone else.

As an often ridiculed and ignored member of the scientific community approaching his twilight years, Splatunfuder had been busy squandering his considerable wealth to fund research that would silence his critics and create such impact that future generations would look back in awe at his scientific prowess.

This legacy was a book called ‘101 Ways To Die’, or ‘Brutality with finesse - A tabletop companion for the criminally violent’… his publisher preferred the former.

To aid him in his research he crafted ‘The Splatt’, a hodge-podge concoction of various fleshy body parts grown in huge tanks and crudely stapled back together.

Willed into life to act as devoted assistants in his grand scientific plan, their simple-mindedness and susceptibility to falling apart at the seams was a continual issue.

Unfortunately the family curse for monumentally bad luck struck when, whilst working late one night one such Splatt ‘mishap’ changed everything. Whilst carrying a Bomb for his latest experiment the dim-witted lumps arms became unstitched, the bomb sent crashing to the floor.

In the wake of the blast the book was left shredded and illegible… Only pieces of the puzzle remained intact on each page.

The Professor dragged himself back to his laboratory workstation. Injured and enraged with the hapless Splatts incompetence he swore to use them not as servants, but as unwilling targets in his experimentation.

He pulled out a phone book he scanned the pages - He would need an assistant to rebuild his life’s work.

The agency has sent you; a lab assistant with very loose morals whom doesn’t mind the lack of dental plan and frequent beatings.

Your task: to reproduce the missing pieces of data that will rebuild his once great tome, page by page, chapter by chapter; each new entry re-telling the elaborate ways to hurt, maim, and exterminate, in the hope of reproducing the ultimate ‘101 recipes’ for killing one’s enemies in style…

‘101 Ways to Die’ is a physics based game putting the player in the shoes a of a humble lab assistant in the employ of an evil genius,Professor Ernst Splattunfuder.

Using creatures he has constructed called ‘Splatt’ the Doctor has instructed you to harm them in as many elaborate ways as possible in order to rediscover his lost 101 recipes.
