Assemble your tag team

Choose from eight playable characters: Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Captain America, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Storm and Doctor Doom. You'll also be able to view the full Command List for each character.

Battle your way through iconic Marvel locations

Experience three playable stages: Savage Land, X-Mansion and MARVEL's New York City.

Other available features and modes

During the Closed Beta, you can also try out the 64-player Lobby featuring Chibi MARVEL avatars, an introduction 'Startup Battle' against the CPU to learn battle mechanics, and watch other participants battle online in Spectator Mode.

*PS5 and PC will launch August 7, 2026 in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Yes, any PlayStation 5-compatible arcade stick or leverless controller can be used to play MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. You can customise your button inputs by accessing the button configuration menu from the Character Select Screen or mid-match Pause Menu.

At the beginning of each match, players will only have access to their first two characters. To assemble the rest of your team, you must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Perform a successful stage transition or wall-bounce by successfully landing specific moves, combos or a throw next to the edge of an area.
  • Lose a round.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls supports two players in each match, with each opposing player controlling a team of four characters. Players can also choose to fight against CPUs offline.
