Yes, you can play the PS4 version of Gran Turismo 7 on a PlayStation 5 console.

Can I upgrade my PS4 version to the PS5 version?

If you have the standard edition of Gran Turismo 7 on PS4 consoles, you can purchase an upgrade to the PS5 digital version.
If you have the PS4 version on disc, you need a PS5 console with a disc drive to upgrade to the PS5 digital version. PS4 game discs can’t be used with the PS5 Digital Edition.

How can I play Gran Turismo 7 on PS VR2?

The PS VR2 version of Gran Turismo 7 is available on PS5 consoles with update 1.29 at no additional cost.

If you've purchased a PS4 version, you need to upgrade it to the PS5 version to access the VR2 version of the game.
Two-player split screen is not supported in VR mode.

Can I upgrade my Standard Edition to the 25th Anniversary Special Edition of Gran Turismo 7?

No. However you can upgrade your PS4 Standard Edition to the PS5 Digital Standard Edition. This upgrade does not entitle you to an upgrade to the 25th Anniversary Special Edition. To upgrade an eligible PS4 game on disc to the digital PS5 version, you will need a PS5 console with a disc drive. PS4 game discs can’t be used with the PlayStation®5 Digital Edition.

I have bought the (physical or digital) 25th Anniversary Special Edition; can I play this on either a PS4 console or a PS5 console?

As an owner of the 25th Anniversary Digital Deluxe Edition, you will receive an entitlement for both PS5 and PS4 versions. For the physical version of the 25th Anniversary Edition, the steel book will include a PS5 game disc and a voucher for a digital version of the PS4 game and the 25th Anniversary Edition additional content. Your Gran Turismo 7 save data will be transferable from PS4 consoles to PS5 consoles.
