How to use credit or debit cards on PlayStation Store

Find out how to use a credit or debit card as a payment method on PlayStation™Store.

Before you add a credit or debit card to your account, check whether it's supported on PlayStation Store in your country/region.

How to add a credit or debit card to your account online

If you add a payment method while shopping on PlayStation Store, the payment information is saved to your account.

  1. Sign in to Account Management and select Payment Method.
  2. Select Add Payment Method > Add a Credit/Debit Card.
  3. Enter your card information and select Next.
  4. Enter your billing address and select Save.

  1. Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account.
  2. Select Payment and Subscriptions > Payment Methods > Credit/Debit Card.
  3. Scan the QR code on your mobile device.
    You can also select Use Controller Instead and add a card from your console. 
  1. Enter your card information and select Next.
  2. Enter your billing address and select Save.

  1. Go to PlayStation Store.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and select Payment Methods.
  3. Select Add a Credit/Debit Card.

  1. Select the PlayStation Store icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the menu icon from the top right of the screen and select Payment Methods.
  3. Choose Add Payment Method > Add a Credit/Debit Card.
  4. Enter your card information and select Next.
  5. Enter your billing address and select Save.

  • You can also use a credit or debit card to top up your wallet, which can then be used to make purchases on PlayStation Store.
  • A child account can't add payment methods or wallet funds, and can only make purchases using funds from the family manager's wallet within a monthly spending limit.
    This limit is automatically set to 0 when the account is created.
