Kyu Young Lee (South Korea)

Kyu Young Lee is a Korean illustrator whose artworks are posted under "GYUNG_STUDIO" on Instagram. It’s his first time illustrating game characters in everyday life scenario as his work mainly express love stories between lovers in everyday life. However, he’s looking forward to the challenge and hopes that fans will enjoy his style and expression of Kratos and Atreus from God of War Ragnarök.

Trivia on image: Did you know that a father’s emotional sadness is usually passed down to his son?

Researchers have found out that emotional trauma can be inherited through DNA and passed down to future generations. As a long-time God of War fan, I would like to remind you that Kratos is more than the invincible God of War who slaughtered the gods of Olympus, he is also the Ghost of Sparta who suffered from betrayal which led to the demise of his family. I find the stories and characterizations of the previous God of War titles very intriguing, and I cannot wait to see how Kratos deals with the parent-child relationship in Ragnarök and how he becomes the best dad in the Nine Realms. Afterall, it’s easier to go to war than raise a child.

Did you know that in ancient times, chickens were used for fighting and worship rather than for food?

According to archaeological records, chickens were raised not for eating, but as sacred birds used for sacrifices and fighting. As a modern-day wage slave, when I learned about this, I couldn't help but take pity on the chickens: If I was born in the right time, I could’ve been a Spartan God of War, throwing punches at Zeus and kicking Thor around. But living in the 21st century, I’m just a bald dude who works overtime every day.

Sa-ard (Thailand)

Sa-ard first started drawing comics when he was 9 years old in his school notebook, before going on to pursue his passion to be a comic book artist in high school. Sa-ard's first debut manga "The Man Who Finds His Own Voice" won the silver award at the 5th International Manga Awards in Japan in 2012. Since then, Sa-ard has published 11 manga stories and graphic novels, winning multiple awards along the way. His artwork of Kratos and Atreus were inspired by his relationship with his own father, as they love to play basketball together when he was a young boy.

In 2020, he decided to become a full-time freelance artist and online content creator as he saw potential to grow in this field. He has worked on book illustrations and music videos, and is currently a character designer in a gaming company and for a television series.

He started FAKTAP in 2015, a comic strip that focuses on pop culture, social and political issues. In addition, he is currently working as a creative director in a film company.
