Terms and Conditions – Specific Rules for “PS4 Playoffs” Competition

 

1.                The "PS4 Playoffs” competition (“Competition”) is open to persons aged 18 years or over who are residents of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom (“Entrant Countries”) except employees, agents, contractors or consultants of the Promoter (as defined below) and their immediate families, the Promoter's associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition (“Entrants). These Terms (as defined below) apply to those Entrants resident of Entrant Countries, excluding France.

2.                Entrants aged between 15 and 17 years (inclusive) must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter the Competition and to claim their Prize (as defined below).

3.                The Competition is open for entries on 12 July 2019 at 12:00 (BST) ("Opening Date") and closes on 15 July 2019 at 23:59 (BST) ("Closing Date").  The period from the Opening Date to and including the Closing Date shall be referred to as the “Competition Period.

4.                The Competition is free to enter and no purchase of any kind is necessary. By entering the Competition, Entrants accept and will be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”) as well as the General Rules (click here).

5.                To enter the Competition, Entrants must complete the following steps during the Competition Period:

a.      Go to playstation.com/PS4Playoffs;

b.      Enter their details: email address, name, date of birth and country of residence;

c.      Correctly answer four (4) multiple choice questions, as fast as possible; and

d.      Click “submit” to submit the entry and the Entrant’s time score;

each an “Entry”.

6.                Each Entrant may only submit one (1) Entry and will only be eligible to win one (1) Prize (as defined below).

7.                There will be one (1) winner (the “Winner”) and four (4) runners-up (each a “Runner-Up”). The Winner and Runners Up will be selected based on the fastest time to provide the correct answers to all four (4) multiple choice questions.

8.                The Promoter shall notify the Winner and the Runners-Up by email to the email address provided at the time of Entry or via phone to the telephone number provided at the time of Entry. Notifications will be made within one (1) week of the Closing Date.

9.                In order to claim their Prize (as defined below), the Winner and each Runner-Up must respond appropriately to the Promoter’s notification email within one (1) week from the date of the Promoter’s notification email, and provide their full name, postal address and date of birth. The postal address provided must match any postal address provided at the time of Entry, or the Winner and each Runner-Up may be disqualified.

10.             If the Winner or a Runner-Up is under 18, parental consent must be provided at the point of claiming the Prize.

11.             The Winner will win:

a)     Two (2) tickets to the FIFA eWorld Cup Final in London (August 2nd to 4th 2019) (the “FIFA eWorld Cup Final”) (for the Winner and their companion);

b)     Travel to the FIFA eWorld Cup Final for both the Winner and their companion;

c)      Accommodation during the FIFA eWorld Cup Final (maximum of four (4) nights) for both the Winner and their companion;

d)     One (1) PlayStation merchandising box (which includes items such as PlayStation branded jacket, scarf and keyring);

e)     One (1) digital pre-order copy of FIFA 20 console game for PlayStation 4, in the form of a voucher code, which must be redeemed by 30 September 2019 on the PlayStation®Store; and

f)       One (1) PlayStation Plus Twelve (12) Month subscription, in the form of a voucher code, which must be redeemed by 30 September 2019 on the PlayStation®Store;

together the “Winner Prize”.

12.             The Winner Prize has a total approximate value of one thousand, five hundred Euros (€1,500).

13.             The first 1st Runner-Up will win:

a)     One (1) PlayStation merchandising box (which includes items such as PlayStation branded jacket, scarf and keyring);

b) One (1) digital pre-order copy of FIFA 20 console game for PlayStation 4, in the form of a voucher code, which must be redeemed by September 30 2019 on the PlayStation®Store; and

c) One (1) PlayStation Plus Twelve (12) Month subscription, in the form of a voucher code, which must be redeemed by September 30 2019 on the PlayStation®Store;

together the “First Runner-Up Prize”.

14.           The “First Runner-Up Prize” has a total approximate value of two-hundred and fifty Euros (€250.00).

15.           All other Runners-Up (Runner-Up 2, 3 and 4) will win one (1) PlayStation merchandising box (which includes items such as PlayStation branded jacket, scarf and keyring) with a total approximate value of one hundred Euros (€100.00) (each a “Runner-Up Prize”).

16.           The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to send, by registered post / email:

a)     the Winner Prize to the Winner;

b)     the First Runner-Up Prize to the First Runner-Up, and

c)      the Runner-Up Prize to the remaining Runners-Up;

within 4 weeks of receiving a Winner’s or Runner-Up’s details.

17.             In these Terms, “Prize” shall mean a Winner Prize, the First Runner-Up Prize and/or the Runner-Up Prize, as appropriate in the context.

18.             Voucher codes are subject to terms and conditions of use. Please click here for details. Voucher codes are not transferable and may not be re-sold. Voucher codes have an expiry date which will be communicated with the voucher code.

19.             PlayStation®Plus subscription only available to SEN account holders with access to PlayStation®Store and high-speed internet.  PSN, PS Store and PS Plus subject to terms of use and country and language restrictions; PS Plus content and services vary by subscriber age. Users must be 7 years or older and users under 18 require parental consent, except that users in Germany must be 18 years or older. Service availability is not guaranteed. Online features of specific games may be withdrawn on reasonable notice - eu.playstation.com/gameservers.  PS Plus subscription automatically renews at the end of the subscription period at the current PS Store price.  Full terms apply: PSN Terms of Service at eu.playstation.com/legal.

20.             Prizes must be taken as stated and may not be deferred.  There will be no cash alternatives; however, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of a similar value.

21.             The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any problem which may result in any Competition Entry or other correspondence being lost or not being properly registered.

22.             In the event of a dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

23.             The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Competition or amend these Terms at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside its control.

24.             If a Prize is found to be ineffective, faulty or damaged upon receipt, the Promoter must be notified in writing within seven (7) days of receipt, otherwise the Prize will be deemed to be accepted as received.  This does not affect the Winner’s and/or a Runner-Up’s statutory rights (if any).

25.             The Winner, the First Runner-Up and each remaining Runner-Up agree to take part in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.

26.   If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to process an Entry or fulfill any Prize awarded. If an Entrant fails to comply with clauses 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and/or 10, or uses multiple accounts and/or any automated system to enter, or if there is any reason to believe that anyone voting for an Entrant’s submission has been paid or incentivised in any way, either by an Entrant or a third party, they will be excluded from the Competition and their Entry will be declared void.

27.             The Winner, the First Runner-Up and each Runner-Up may be required to pay tax on any Prize won in accordance with their jurisdiction’s tax legislation and will be responsible for any related tax liability.

28.             The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, publish the Winner’s, the First Runner-Up’s and each Runner-Up’s name on the Promoter’s website(s).  The Winner’s and each Runner-Up’s name will be made available on reasonable request to those enclosing a self-addressed envelope marked ‘PS4 Playoffs Competition’ to the following address: Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe Limited, 10 Great Marlborough Street, London W1F 7LP United Kingdom within six (6) weeks of the Closing Date.

31.             To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and the contract between each Entrant and the Promoter shall be deemed to have been formed and performed in England.
