Need to change your password?

If you know your password and just want to change it, you can do this through your web browser. Visit Account Management and head to 'Security' under the 'Account' tab.

Need to reset a forgotten password?

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it by using a secure link we'll send to your email inbox. You'll also need your date of birth to verify your identity.

 
 

Add a security question or mobile number

Adding a security question or mobile phone number to your PSN account provides an alternative method to verify your identity in case you forget your password.

 
 

Having trouble resetting your password?

Wrong date of birth?

If you can't verify your identity using your date of birth, and haven't set up an alternative verification method, you'll need to contact us and provide a copy of your ID in order to change your password.

Under 18?

If you're under 18 and entered an incorrect date of birth when creating your account, you'll need to get a parent or guardian to contact us with a copy of their ID in order for us to help.

No email access?

If you can't access the email address associated with your PSN account, contact your email provider first. If you can't regain access, you'll need to contact us with a copy of your ID in order to change your password and Sign-in ID.
