Reset forgotten password on Primary PS4

If you have access to a PS4 that you have activated as your 'Primary PS4', you can reset your password in a couple of clicks — all you need is access to your PSN Sign-in ID (email address).

Reset a forgotten PSN password

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it by using a secure link we'll send to your email inbox. You'll also need your date of birth to verify your identity.

Having trouble resetting your password?

Wrong date of birth?

If you can't verify your identity using your date of birth or an alternate verification method, you can reset your password on your Primary PS4. If this is not an option, you'll need to contact us with your account details for more help.

Under 18?

If you're under 18 and entered an incorrect date of birth when creating your account, you'll need to get a parent or guardian to contact us with a copy of their ID in order for us to help.

No email access?

If you can't access the email address associated with your account, contact your email provider first. If you can't regain access, or change your Sign-in ID you'll need to contact us with your account details and a copy of your ID.
