2-Step Verification on PS3, PS Vita and PS TV

How do I set up 2-Step Verification?

You cannot activate 2SV on your PS3 or PS Vita/TV. You need to activate it on a PS4 or through account management:

  1. Go to account management on a connected device and select the [Security] tab.
  2. Next to 2-Step Verification, select [Edit] > [Activate] > [Continue].
  3. Enter a mobile number or select an existing one – you will be sent a 6 digit verification code.
  4. Enter the code and select [verify].
  5. Make a note of your Backup Codes.

Make a note of your back up codes!

These codes can help you regain access to your account if you don't have your phone, or if you've changed your mobile number.

You can find your back up codes on PS4 or through account management on a web browser. To use a back up code, attempt to sign in as normal and enter one of your back up codes instead of the verification text message code.
