Alongside Cole's huge arsenal of electrical superpowers that you got to experience in inFAMOUS 2 on PlayStation 3, there are a number of new abilities with a suitably sinister twist in inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood now that Cole is a vampire.
The first of these is Swarm, which allows you to transform into hundreds of bats and travel long distances in a short space of time. This new ability is perfect if you need to reach a point of interest on the map that happens to be on the other side of the city. Be warned though, this does use up a large amount of Cole's energy, which can be restored by feeding on the blood of civilians. To replenish energy, simply approach someone and press the R1 button on your wireless controller.
The second new power at Cole's disposal is Vampire Vision, which can be used to detect bloodsuckers hiding as humans and to discover secret passages and hidden locations on the enhanced New Marais map. When battles get heated or you find yourself surrounded by an army of the undead, be sure to break out the Punch Blast, a powerful move that throws enemies off their feet, leaving them wide open to a killing blow such as a stake through the heart.
One of the biggest additions to Cole's powers is the Shadow Stake, which replaces the Amp. It's perfect for battling vampires on the streets of New Marais and, thanks to its sharpened end, is the ultimate weapon for finishing a fanged foe off. To do this, stand over a fallen enemy and press the Square button on your wireless controller before they can get back on their feet and attack you.
With just one single night to save Cole's soul, you're going to have to master every single one of these new powers quickly otherwise New Marais' hero is doomed to an eternity hiding in the shadows and feeding on the innocent.
