Find out how to purchase PlayStation Now (PS Now) using a PS5 or PS4 console, which games can be streamed or downloaded and how to navigate the PS Now app.
PS5: subscribe to PS Now
Go to your games home, select PlayStation Now and choose a subscription plan.
Note: a PS Now subscription is an ongoing subscription with a recurring monthly subscription fee.
To start a PS Now game, open the PS Now app, navigate to a PS Now game and select Stream or Download if available. Downloaded games can be found in your PS5 Games Library or PS4 Library.
PS5: share PS Now
You can share your PS Now games with other accounts on one PS5 with Console Sharing and Offline Play enabled. This setting is automatically enabled on the PS5 console you use to sign in to PlayStation Network for the first time.
The PlayStation Now app is only available to players over the age of 18. If a child account holder would like to access PS Now content, an adult account holder can download or stream age-appropriate content on a PS5 or PS4 console. The child account will then be able to access the game on the console.
We have mapped these PS3 commands to the DualSense (and DUALSHOCK 4) wireless controller touchpad. Click the left side for SELECT and the right for START, just like the DualShock 3 controller. Make sure that you click the touchpad as this will not work if you touch or tap it.
You cannot be signed in on two devices and stream PS4 games. For example, if you are watching Netflix on your console and start streaming a PS4 game on your PC, you will be disconnected from the console using Netflix. You can, however, be signed in on the PS4 while you stream PS3 games on PC. Some PS5 and PS4 functions are also not compatible when streaming PS Now games:
Broadcasting is not available.
Share Play is not available.
Remote Play is not available.
When streaming, you may have to wait in a queue.
