Terms and Conditions – Specific Rules for “Chance to win UEFA Champions League Final Lisbon 2014 Tickets” Competition


1.             The "Chance to win UEFA Champions League Final Lisbon 2014 tickets” competition (“Competition”) is open to persons aged 18 years or over who are residents of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom (“Entrant Countries”) except employees, agents, contractors or consultants of the Promoter (as defined below) and their immediate families, the Promoter's associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition (“Entrants).


2.             The Competition is open for entries on 18 March 2014 at 12.00 (GMT) ("Opening Date") and closes on 1 May 2014 at 23.59 (BST) ("Closing Date"). The period from the Opening Date to and including the Closing Date shall be referred to as the “Competition Period.


3.             The Competition is free to enter and no purchase of any kind is necessary. By entering the Competition, Entrants accept and will be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”).


4.             To enter the Competition, Entrants must complete the following steps during the Competition Period:

a)     visit the PlayStation® competitions website at;

b)    click on the link for the ‘Chance to win UEFA Champions League Final Lisbon 2014 Tickets’ Competition; and

c)      in the text box provided answer the following question:

“Winning in the UEFA Champions League Final is one of the greatest things a footballer can achieve - what has been your greatest PlayStation® triumph?” (“Question”) and include the following information:

                              i.        full name;

                             ii.        date of birth;

                            iii.        email address; and

                            iv.        country of residence.


5.             Each Entrant may only submit one (1) entry and will only be eligible to win one (1) Prize (as defined below).


6.             Each Entrant must adhere to the General Rules and in particular, to sections 7 and 8.  In addition, entries must not contain any:

a)             pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit imagery;

b)            abusive, offensive or hateful imagery or language;

c)             harassing or defamatory content;

d)            content that compromises the privacy or safety of yourself or others;

e)             content that demeans a particular gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, ethnicity or nationality;

f)             violent or dangerous behaviour; and/or

g)            spam, advertising or other commercial activities.


7.             Each Entrant grants to the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use entries for promotional purposes and for all the purposes related to the Competition, across all media including any online platforms under the Promoter’s control.


8.             All entries must be completely original so as not to breach any third party copyright.  The Promoter accepts no liability if Entrants ignore these Terms and each Entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Promoter against any claims by any third party arising from any breach of these Terms.


9.             There will be one (1) winner (the “Winner”). The Winner will be the Entrant who submitted the most original and interesting answer to the Question, as selected by a judge from an independent creative agency. The decision of the judge is final.


10.          The Promoter shall notify the Winner, by email, of their selection within two (2) weeks of the Closing Date (“Notification”).


11.          In order to claim their Prize, the Winner must respond appropriately to the Promoter’s email within three (3) days from the date of the Promoter’s Notification to them, and provide the following information:

a)     their contact telephone number;

b)    their postal address;

c)     the Winner’s and their Companion’s (as defined below) passport names, passport numbers, passport expiry dates, nationalities, and passport issuing authorities;

d)    their Companion’s date of birth; and

e)     their Companion’s country of residence.


12.          At the Promoter’s request, the Winner shall provide any further details (for themselves and their Companion) which are required for the Promoter to make the relevant travel arrangements within two (2) days of claiming their Prize.


13.          The Winner will win the following “Prize”:

a)     two (2) tickets (one (1) ticket for the Winner and one (1) ticket for their chosen companion (“Companion”) who must be 18 years or over) to the UEFA Champions League Final in Lisbon at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica on 24 May 2014 at 20.45 (CET) (“Event”);

b)    return economy class flights for the Winner and their Companion from the Winner’s home country to Lisbon International Airport (“Airport”) (or, if the Winner is resident in Portugal and train travel is deemed more appropriate by the Promoter, standard fare return train tickets for two (2) people from the Winner’s home town in Portugal to Lisbon), outbound on Friday 23 May 2014 and inbound on Sunday 25 May 2014;

c)     return transport from the Airport (or train station in Lisbon, where applicable) to a  hotel in Lisbon with a maximum four (4) star rating (“Hotel”) on Friday 23 May 2014 and Sunday 25 May 2014;

d)    two (2) nights’ stay in a twin room at the Hotel with breakfast included;

e)     return transport from the Hotel to the Event; and

f)     unlimited food and beverages (including alcoholic) within the hospitality section at the Event.


14.          The ultimate value of the Prize will vary according to the transport and accommodation provided, however the approximate Prize value is:

a)     2,619 CHF;

b)    58,714 CZK;

a)     15,979 DKK;

b)    2,140 EUR;

c)     1,760 GBP;

d)    17,825 NOK;

e)     8,896 PLN;

f)     103,783 RUB; and

g)    19,073 SEK,

the cost of flights will vary depending on many factors, including the country of departure and the date of booking, and have not been included in the aforementioned Prize value amounts.


15.          The Winner and their Companion must have a valid passport with an expiry date of at least six (6) months after 25 May 2014.


16.          The Winner is responsible for all travel and other related expenses not forming part of the Prize, including but not limited to travel insurance, any meals or other refreshments (other than those provided for at the Event).


17.          The Winner will need to provide valid credit or debit card details to the Hotel at check-in as a security deposit.


18.          Travel visas are the responsibility of the Winner and their Companion, and they may not gain entry into Portugal without a valid visa (if applicable).


19.          Prizes must be taken as stated and may not be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives; however the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of a similar value.


20.          The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any problem which may result in any Competition entry or other correspondence being lost or not being properly registered.


21.          In the event of a dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.


22.          The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Competition or amend these Terms at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside its control.


23.          The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to send, by email, to the email address submitted, the Prize (in the form of electronic tickets or booking confirmations for the Event, transport and accommodation) to the Winner within two (2) weeks of receiving the Winner’s details.


24.          The Winner agrees to take part in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.   In particular, the Promoter may want to film the Winner and their Companion at the the Event. By attending the Event, the Winner and their Companion will be deemed to give the Promoter, and its associated companies, licensees and assignees, permission to:

a)     photograph, film and record them during their visit;

b)    edit, alter, reproduce, publish and distribute any such photographs, recordings and films or anything derived from them (“Material”) in any medium; and

c)     use the Material, in whole or in part, for any purposes it deems necessary to promote, advertise or exploit any of Promoter’s products and anything connected with or derived from them.


25.          The Winner and their Companion also agree to waive any moral rights that they may have in the Material and to release the Promoter and its associated companies, licensees and assignees from any claims for payment in connection with their use of the Material.


26.          The Promoter will publish the Winner’s name on the Promoter’s website(s).


27.          If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms or that incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to process an entry or fulfill any Prize awarded. If an Entrant fails to comply with clauses 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11 and/or 12 they will be excluded from the Competition and their entry will be declared void.


28.          The Winner may be required to pay tax on any Prize won in accordance with their jurisdiction’s tax legislation and will be responsible for any related tax liability. Winners who are residents of France are excluded from any such tax liability.


29.          The Winner and their Companion must ensure that they comply with the relevant rules of entry when attending the Event. Any refusal of entry is not the responsibility of the Promoter and the Promoter shall have no liability to the Winner in respect of the same.


30.          In accordance with the French Act N⁰ 78-17 dated 6 January 1978 on “Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties”, Entrants who are residents of France have a right to access and rectify personal data about themselves.


31.          For valid entries made by Entrants who are residents of France, valid costs for an Internet connection required for participation in the game and/or to request a copy of these Terms can be refunded upon request to: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited, 10 Great Marlborough Street, London W1F 7LP United Kingdom within six (6) weeks of the Closing Date.  Any such Internet connection refund shall be based on an average connection time and average discount rate applied by Internet access providers in the market, to a maximum of 1 Euro (including the cost of requesting such a refund).  Refunds are not available to Entrants having unlimited Internet access through ADSL, cable, or otherwise.

34.          These Terms are on file at SCP Louvion, Huissiers de Justice Associés, 7 rue Sainte-Anastas, 75139 Paris Cedex 03, France.


35.          To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and the contract between each Entrant and the Promoter shall be deemed to have been formed and performed in England.
