All non-PlayStation VR PS4 games are playable in cinema mode with the PlayStation VR headset. Cinema mode lets you experience your non-VR games on a simulated big screen while wearing your VR headset.
There are three different screen sizes available, and there are two ways to adjust the display sizes of games on the PS VR headset:
Re-centering the screen
If you find that the screen is no longer in the center of the VR headset, look forward and long press the Options button on your controller.
You can watch both traditional 2D (movies, TV) content and Virtual Reality video content in your PlayStation VR Headset.
Video Content Supported
Most video content may be viewed, for example:
Using PS VR to Watch 2D Video Content
Watching PS VR 2D video content is like being at the theater.
To start, the PS4 and PS VR should be properly connected to a TV. For further information, please refer to the PS VR setup article.
From the Home Screen, PS VR calibrations can be made before viewing video content.
Or to access this menu through the Quick Menu press and hold the [PS button] > [Quick Menu] > [Adjust PlayStation VR] > [Screen Size]
While wearing the PS VR headset, you can look around and the screen will stay in a fixed position if Medium or Large screen sizes are chosen. Small screen size will stay centred with head movement.
You can also make these changes without wearing your PS VR headset as your PS VR display will also be mirrored onto your TV.
You may now start enjoying your favorite video content through the PS VR Headset. For more information on Video Playback on PS4, click here.
