How to set up Spotify on PlayStation

Find out which PlayStation systems are compatible with Spotify, how to set up Spotify on your system and how to unlink your Spotify account from PlayStation Network.

After 31/03/20 PlayStation Music (Spotify) subscriptions cannot be purchased or renewed through PlayStation Store. PlayStation Music (Spotify) subscriptions will expire on the next payment date after 31/03/20 and automatically transition to Spotify Free.

Download Spotify app and link accounts

  1. On your compatible PlayStation system, go to [PlayStation Store] and search for Spotify to locate and download the app.
  2. Select [Sign up] or [Log in] and enter your details.
  3. Select [Link Accounts].

Can I listen to Spotify while playing games on PlayStation?

You can listen to music while playing select PS4 games (not available on PlayStation Now or Remote Play). This feature is not available on PS3.

  1. Press and hold the PS button on your controller to bring up the quick menu.
  2. Select [Music] > [Spotify].
  3. Here you can skip songs, play/pause, or adjust the volume.

How do I unlink Spotify from PlayStation Network?

  1. Open the [Spotify] app and select your account from the top right of the screen.
  2. Select [Log out]. Your Spotify account is no longer linked to PlayStation Network.
